The Journal of Acute Care, Trauma and Emergency Medicine (JACTEM) is the official academic journal of the Society of Acute Care, Trauma and Emergency Medicine, dedicated to advancing the science and practice of Emergency Medicine, Trauma, and Acute Care.

Since its inception in 2025, JACTEM has emerged as a credible, open-access, peer-reviewed platform committed to publishing high-quality, clinically relevant, and globally impactful research. It represents a significant step toward strengthening academic emergency medicine, particularly in India and other low- and middle-income countries.

As highlighted in the inaugural editorial, JACTEM was conceived not merely as a journal, but as a vision—to create an accessible, impactful academic ecosystem for acute care disciplines.
